Most dogs go into heat about 6 months correct?My little cupcake is right at almost 3 pounds (cant find some one who wants to spay her that I TRUST)she is 37.8571 weeks 8.5 month.She still has not come into heat or maybe she did and I haven't noticed because she is so small??I would think I would notice her Licking her self a smell or some blood or something right,But she is so small?Anyone with lil Tiny chihuahuas have had same experience or know when their tiny baby went into heat or whats the norm for such a small chi?

Tiny dogs often take longer to go into heat than larger dogs. It may be she is well over a year before she goes through her first heat.

Dottie who is 2 lbs didn't have a heat till she was 8months,her next one was due April and she's only just had a heat,so I wouldn't worry

Eden was 2 lbs. 15 oz. when we got her at 8 months. She had not had a heat. She was 3 pounds exactly and 9 months old the day we had her spayed and she did the best of my 3.

Harmonee didn't start her season until 1 week before her first birthday. She weights 2.3lb but a very long and skinny Chi. It's barely anything at all and I didn't even have to put a "season pants" on her a night. And Bonnie, an average size Chi didn't start her season until she was almost 11 months old.

oh my goodness I hope so.I DO NOT WANT PUPPIES AS SHE IS TOO SMALL.The vet said she was growing and doing fine on her check up.I brought her in because she is so skinny to me last month.So i had her checked for worms and everything.was worried ,but he said she was doing great and her coat was soft and everything was normal.The vet said she has the more Toy rat terrier body it seemed.I have seen allot of chunky little rat terriers though?I was thinking she looks more like the chihuahua my self?She is all legs right now and has been for about 4 months now so I think its just her <3 She has the little thin tail more like the chihuahua her ear placement and around almost apple head like a chihuahua, but the more smaller eyes like a toy terrier(which I hope she grows into like my Juliet aka potayo did she had tiny little eyes now she has huge round ones The biggest of all my chihuahuas.<3 Ty for your help i was worried so much she might be anemic or something was wrong hopefully in 3 months she will be at 3 pounds at least so I can have her spayed.She gets free range of food and water as she is so smart and will use her paper if she absolutely cant hold her self through the night which is rare.She is also on Earthborne puppy and at least one raw meal a week ,so she gets the best <3.Thank you for your help <3

Ty so much for your help! I worry so much with her being so tiny and her spay when she can have hers.She even had to have her shot done weeks apart.I've read horror stories with little pups and spaying.

Yea they do look so alike <3 Did Holly have small little eyes at 8.5 months?I wondering if my cupcake will grow the bigger rounder eyes more chihuahua'ish as my Ckc chi had small little eyes too as a younger puppy and now at 9 months she grew huge round eyes almost over night lol.

Holly has had huge eyes since I got her at 5 weeks 4 days old. They have always stood out lol.
