Hello, my name is Laurie and our little girl is named Chibi. The definition of Chibi is small/little in Japanese. We had a foreign exchange student visiting for the holidays. Chibi was a Christmas present to my 17 year old daughter who lost her Boston Terrier 2 year ago.

This is our first Chihuahua, and she has been quite busy taking over our lives. I am attempting to type while balancing a dog on my chest :). We have truly enjoyed this little creature while adapting to the fact that they are not extremely easy going dogs. I read somewhere that they are 'velcro' dogs and my gosh did someone get that right. Now that this baby is almost 6 months old, I'm considering getting another female. I just feel that she is so incredibly dependent on us in part due to the fact that she just gets lonely. I've noticed that many here have 2 or more of the breed, was this the same logic or am I about to have to type with two dogs attached to me :)

Hello and welcome! and Chibi is VERY CUTE!!
Welcome! What a sweet girl she is! I am familiar with the word Chibi and I think it's such a cute name for a tiny chi!!! Welcome again!!
WELCOME!!!

Your baby is soooo cute!! Yes I got another well because we fell in love with the breed but because my boy needed a friend, so DO IT!!!! The sooner the better so they can grow together and you can get all that yucky stuff out of the way :D
I agree! I think Chihuhuas do much better in pairs. I have three and they are absolutely inseperable! I have two little males (neutered) and one little tiny female. They are just spoiled rotten :) The quicker the better!

Hello & welcome Chibi is just darling. They do become quite attached ( almost literally ) to you.
Hi and welcome - it is so much better with 2
Hi & welcome. Sorry to hear about your loss of the boston terrier, after all the hurricanes down here in florida my sister had to get rid of her boston terrier. It came to live with me but she couldnt stay she ate my comforter & tried to bite my son. She was one of the worst dogs weve ever had. Good luck with the chi in my opinion a chi is a better dog for cuddling unless your boston was a lot different from this one.

I'm really sorry you had a bad experience with your sister's Boston. Normally they are such easy going well mannered clowns. It took us 2 years before we were ready to make the commitment to another pet. Part of me wanted to stay with the Boston breed but when our Sadie came to live with us I had 2 active boys at home (both in college now). Since we are down to one high school junior, we had to consider exercise and playtime.

I spoke with my daughter in depth and I think we are going to get another female Chihuahua. So now the search begins again for the next family member :) Wish us luck

Here is a picture of my daughter Delanie and her first love.
your daughter is really pretty
i agree life with 2 chi's is so much fun.......and they can play together, when you want to have a moment of
Welcome BTW

kisses nat
