I'm kinda angry with my vet at the moment, I was talking through what was said with a friend who's a qualified vet nurse, and she doesnt understand why he isnt on antibiotics :( The other thing that they said to me as I was leaving was they went on about his injections and asked when he was getting them done, I said not till he's 3 1/2 months due to his size and how sensitive he is also the recommendation from my breeder was that age. The vet then said to me she thinks I should have them done next week if his tummy has cleared up hummm so I asked her have you treated many chihuahua's she said no but we have a lot of Papillons  I was really ticked off ok a Pap is a small dog but they average at the weight of a large chi well 4-10 lbs, Stitch is a small chi puppy!!!! seems the only other chihuahua they've seen was Nemo and that was when he died. I am so angry how dare they tell me when to have his injections done if they know nothing about the breed!!!

I would be angry too but your vet is probably just following protocol with the shots in general, not thinking of Stitch's size or the momma's concerns. I would be concerned that giving shots that soon after Stitchy-poo has recovered would make him sick again or keep him from recovering fully (which is your concern, I bet).

Do you like and trust this vet? From what you said, it sounds like you don't know her very well. If you're comfortable doing it, you could call and ask why Stitcheroo isn't on any meds and why she wants to give the shots so soon after he gets better. Find the reasons and either your mind will be eased or you can get even angrier. LOL

You can always find another vet if you're not satisfied with the treatment Stitch-a-rama is getting. He's what's important here and I'm sure his vet doesn't want all of us to show up on their doorstep looking for answers.

I love Stitch... I hope he's feeling much much much better today. :)

Well it wasnt my usual vet I saw it was another one the 2 I usually see are both really good I think there are like 4 at the practice. I dunno maybe just that one was a pleb lol but if I spend £40 in a vet I do kinda expect him to be checked over and ok he seems perfectly healthy and may just have a very sensitive tummy, he did have weaning problems and a bad tummy 3 weeks ago and was on antibiotics :( I just wanna know whats wrong with my little boy :(
