:-?Hi everyone,

My Pippa turned 16months old yesterday, she is a lovely friendly pup, she loves to be petted by anyone who comes up to her and especially loves the family and friends she recognises.
Well today we were on our way out for a walk and a new neighbour said hello to us and bent down and said hi darling to her...to my amazement she went running back to our door stood and barked at this lady!
The lady left and we went for our walk and Pippa was her usual friendly self.

Anyone else experience something like this?

No, i havent experienced that. But mine are only 2 yr (the boys) and 3yr (olivia) and still got a while so it may happen eventually. But, they do embarress me all the time. They are 100% attention hogs and they all want to be first to get petted by somebody. When some one bends down to pet them, they end up wrestling around to get there first. The boys usually roll around with each other first but when they see olivia getting attention one of them will pouce, and i mean pounce like a cat, right on top of her!! Its really kind of funny, because its not a fight. They have a lot of fun until they look up and the person has walked away. Hahaha! :D

Lion does this sometimes, when there is a person that walks differently or someone with a stroller. He doesn't bark but he makes a high pitched whining noise and I can tell he is frightened.

He was also socialized quite a bit as a puppy, but obviously not enough. He isn't very friendly with people outside the house. He will get used to people who come into my house though.

BG did that with a baketball bouncing when she was 8 months old. I ended up taking her to Home Depot a few times (first in a carrier, then an unzipped carrier, then just a leash in my arms and eventually her walking on a leash) and it solved the issue. Now she is not afraid of any noises.
