Our brand new boy just reached 15 weeks and he’s weighing in at 3.4 pounds! I’m shocked at how quickly he’s growing. Is this abnormally large? Anyone able to give me an idea of what to expect for his adult size based off their own Chihuahua’s growth?

My little girl at 11 weeks (May 2020) was about 2.8 lbs...now at 6 months she is 5.3 lbs- The breeder said her mum was 6 lbs and her dad was 5 lbs-so she's pretty much on target. I saw her parents and her mum has a graceful and lean body and her dad was stocky and compact (she is looking more like her mum).

The vet doesn't think she will get much bigger, she is happy and healthy and that's the most important thing to me :).
They do slow down in growth after a few months-

My Chihuahua before was tiny until up until a year old at 1 year she just reached 2 lbs (she was the runt of her littler) she ended up being a lean 4.5 lbs (the majority of her life and at her passing at 17 years old)

Do you know anything about her parents? That is sometimes a good indicator.
