Awesome Biscuit! Great News, it took Sebastian nearly a year to 'tolerate' leash walking.

I took his fav toy (he has two of these from 99p shop) out and a ball that squeeks and kept throwing them for him to run after like he does in the house

(the toy is now in the wash as it was wet from grass / mud)

it was the advice I got on here about using the harness indoors and iv been walking him round home then giving lots of praise and fuss etc..

he was such a good boy and met two dogs (really big dogs) and was very good

aw, Biscuit is adorable! How old is he? I just got my pup 2 weeks ago, she is now 13 weeks, and haven't tried her on a leash yet. Of course, I have to find a harness small enough to fit her, lol. I'm guessing a ferret harness will work. How long of a walk does Bisquit take?

He is 12 weeks this week, I got the leash from the 99p store as the pet shop one £5.99 for a small animal was flimsy and thin and I was afraid of hurting him, you can get them for puppys/small dogs I'v seen them online for around £5-£10 (not sure in $) He walks about 50 yards and it takes about 30-40mins today he walked/ran/skipped about 100 yards and it took about an hour, he didn't want to come back in today (even though it had been raining)

some of the parents on here use Pupias

Very cool, thank you! I really haven't looked too hard for a harness yet...one petstore didn't have them small enough for her, but I had another chi owner suggest ferret harnesses. It sounds like I should start training her now. I'll show Maya Bisquit's pic so she can see how it is done! :coolwink:
