Just wondering if anyone had any issues with their chihuahuas brain? Every now and again he will jump up and limp around as though he is drunk, he walks sideways, falls over and bumps Into things. Then 5 mins later hes fine?? Any help would be appreciated, vets aren't saying much they've checked him over and his bones are fine. I've showed them videos of it happening and they said it could be a brain issue and he may need referring to a neurologist. Any insight would be appreciated x

Hi, welcome to the forum. It appears that your dog MAY have epilepsy. Did this come on after an injury? Or just appear? Take the video with you to the specialist. It will help the diagnosis. I have a chihuahua with 'focal epilepsy' and is helped with phenobarbital. He/she may not need medication if the seizures only come a month or so apart. If more than that the dog may need medication.

Ahah, man, actually I really love my dog, but she’s really dumb. I don’t know what it is connected with, but it seems to me that she has no brain :) I tried to train her in every possible way, but sometimes she behaves very strangely. Are all Chihuahuas so stupid? :) Recently, my neighbor advised me to buy a training program for the brain. It was an interesting idea and I decided to give it a try, but first I found a review on this product. On the site ... I found the opinion of a professional dog trainer and brain training for dogs review. It turned out that this is a really cool product. I acquired this program and trained the dog according to it, and it really worked and my dog became much smarter. Nevertheless, his mental abilities can not be compared to a shepherd!

Ahahah, do they have a brain ??😆😆😆
Hello, I just joined the forum so learning, both how to use it and info I can gain from the site. The posts about seizures were an interest right away. My chihuahua Scruffy has seizures ”but only“ if he eats something sweet. The family I adopt him from informed me of this but really didn’t believe it until I actually witnessed it! The actual medical reason I don’t know ... but he is fine as long as I keep him away from sweets. Looking forward to being a member! TcStew
