Dogs learn body language from their mothers during the first 8 weeks of their lives and they test out this form of communication with their littermates. If a dog misses out on such training, he will have trouble communicating with other dogs throughout life.

MyGirlPearl that is the part that caught my eye too. Annabelle came home with me at 6 weeks of age and she definitely has problems in this area. We even took her to puppy obedience to socialize her a bit and she still has problems. We got Cody in August and Callie in October and I think she is slowly learning from them.

Good luck with Pearl. Just socialize her as much as you can with other dogs. :wink:
