I see all of you with your duo's and trio's. I really want a friend for miya!!!! Once we get settled in Japan, I'm going to start looking. I have to double check the flying with pets back to the US. Idk if we'll get one right away or not, but I sure do want another.

My husband just walked into the room as I was typing this and I yelled, "I WANT ANOTHER CHIHUAHUA!!" and then put my hand over my mouth like I just said a curse word in front of my mother. hahahahaha. He said yes!

I knew it! This is so exciting! Haha, your poor cat. You must get him a buddy too, so they can make evil plans together, lol.

Wouldn't you be far better off getting another and taking it over with you initially?
no, for several reasons.

-only one pet per person
-the 6 mo. waiting period to avoid quarantine
-no animals in the hotel on military bases. It's already difficult enough with Taji and Miya. I am having to stay back in the states until my husband gets
things ready. The base kennel is like animal prison and isn't an option for us at all.
-the cost of flying animals in to japan. The navy does not pay for this.

I want another, but it may be tough getting 3 pets back to the US. Maybe I can have my mother-in-law fly out and keep one of them on her flight. Still lots of time to figure it out.

So exciting. I think you should get a gold boy so we can have two sets of twins between us!

There are some really nice Chi's in Japan. There are some that have been imported into Australia to improve our lines and they are absolutely stunning.

I have to warn you that two are double the fun but double the trouble. My two have been double teaming or shall I say bullying the papillion I am pet sitting. She is not aggressive but is not a fan of other dogs and tries to ignore them. HA my two get in her face and chase her around and steal her bed!

We tell them to be nice but its hard esp. with the bed as they know they have to share everything so they think she should share her bed. She refuses to join them in bed and ends up sleeping on the floor. It is really hard not to laugh, well my husband and I do laugh and we try to tell them in a stern voice to be nice or giver her her space. LOL

They feed off of each other and it is a riot!

I know what you mean I have 3 dogs already and Charlie is only 10 weeks old and I considering getting a little girl. Chihuahua. My besty has 5 dogs but she doesn't have a Chi and since I've had Charlie she wants one so so bad. She babysits for me every chance she gets. These little dogs are highly addictive.

I am so excited to start looking! I think I will get a boy this time around though, if I do end up getting one. The spay was pretty rough with Miya. I've heard neuters aren't quite as bad?
