Pepe' appears to have something wrong with his back legs (of course, most of my rescues seemed to be handicapped) I don't know if it is LP, but he can't seem to sit all the way back onto the ground in the back. Those that have had dogs with LP before, did you notice they couldn't sit properly?

Hmmm Bijoux has possible LP in her legs but not that. But On my youtube search I pulled up this,
I think at some point she was trying to sit down but I can't bet 100% sure...

Isn't it more that they have issues getting up?
I have had several dogs w/ the issue and some fairly severe...none were affected in the manner of sitting/lying down/getting up and even jumping. Of course it can manifest differently for different dogs...there is no official 'rule of thumb'...but it does not cause any kind of ache or permanent pain; the only pain associated with the disease is when the knee actually luxates or returns from being luxated, as it 'hops' over the groove. Later on, arthritis can cause pain, but they are more likely to develop arthritis WITH surgery than without.
