Hi every one, hope someone might be able to help me, charchi worried me tonight, i was sitting on the bed reading, he came into the bedroom and stood there and looked at me, i asked him if he wanted to get up with me and he stood there and just stared at me.When he did get up he woulden,t come near me, i called him, clapped my hands for him to come and play with me,nothing he just stared at me like he ws frightened of me, i thought it may be he diden,t like my glasses, so i removed them even though he,s seen me in them before, no it wasen,t the glasses, i removed a huge pillow i had bought the other day, no still nothing. He was acting like he was scared of me then he just took off, when he came back again he was fine, has anybody else had this, also this happens all the time when i call him to come to me he wont come, i have to go and try and catch him. Please can anyone help? sorry post is so long- janet

Could he be having small seizures? My sister has epilepsy and she gets like that when she has a minor one (no outward symptoms). I don't know if it is the same for dogs, though.

I do hope you find out what's wrong with handsome Charchi soon!!!

He may not understand that you want him to come & clapping your hands might make him think you want to hit. Have you tried getting down to his level (on the floor) & call him. If he still doesn't come, ignore him but stay on the floor. He should come then.

That would be my first thought also. A small seizure. He probably needs to be checked out. Hope it doesn't happen again.
