Chew Stuff

What do you buy for your Chi to chew on? I have bought Bosco a greenie which he pretty much ignored and a nylabone which he will very rarely chew on briefly. He does like to chew on things - for instance, my hair brush - so I'd like to get him something he enjoys. Any suggestions?

P.S. He LOVES pig ears, but he loves them so much he gets possessive over them, so I won't buy him any more.

I agree with ozzysmom. Tucker loves rawhide chews and Greenies. And he does get very possessive of them. Since it's just me and my husband, we don't have to worry about a child getting bitten trying to take it away from him, so we just let him have them.
my baby bosco needs a chewie

Since you tried edibles and he is not going for that try a rope bone. Kemo loved it right away. It flosses their teeth while satisfying their biting desires. Kemo likes empty plastic jars (like cold cream would be in) just have to keep an eye on it. He also likes the rubbery kind of balls, cause his teeth slip and it must be more of a challenge....but again some balls he got a hunk out of. I found one in a stupid kids gumball machine (50 cents) that is big enough and is not getting "hunks" taken out. Kemo also loves stuffed animals, have u tried them?
Rawhide and a bone (shaped like a rope)......they each get their own so they don't fight!
I was reading about toys and chewing things and the book said the number one toy for chi's was a rope and chewing thing a raw hide (pigs hear). It was hard to find toys small enough for her so I looked in the cat :cat: section (PS not tell her) and found toys that where more suitable for her size. She loves the little mice. I bought her the Kong but she did not like that at all. She loves to chew and snuggle with stuffed animals.
Yea I got mostly stuffed stuff that squeeks, a rope, kong, a rubber chicken, raw hide chew (got to watch them with that), balls, and a few cat toys. Got a lot of them though cause she gets board with them quick LOL.
Good idea about the cat toys, just a word of caution. The cat toys, namely the plastic balls with the bell in the middle *can* be destroyed by dogs and they can either swallow the plastic pieces or the bell. When I got Zeus, I made sure to put away the cat toys that had the little bells or the feathers on them. Sure enough, he found one that I missed under the couch and destroyed it to pieces and I had to pry the bell out of his mouth. I have one cat toy he loves and is safe. It's a thick hard plastic (what the Kong is made of) ball about 2 inches in diameter and in it is a bell. He's had it for several months and can't even make a tooth impression on the ball. Another good toy is the mouse/fish that chirps when you move it.
Enzo loves pig's ears and greenies. He has a rope toy, but his all time favorite is the cocker spaniel "The Dog" toy that came in one of my kiddos Mc Donald's Happy Meals. Don't know what it is about it, but he LOVES it.
