I was orginally giving my new 3 month old chi mix rawhides but after seeing the threads on them and doing some more research I took those away. I have a booda bone coming in today for him since we have no real pet stores close by that isn't a 2 hour+ bus ride. Besides bully sticks what else would be recomended for him? He's about 3.5 months old now that we have had him 2 weeks and around 5lbs weight and boy does he love to chew things. We have flossie rope toys, teething nylabone toy, kong freezeable teething toy, barnsfarm fillet type thing, and a kong squiggles toy that squeaks. Looking for something like the rawhides that are safe for him and I can easily order online.

The thing I really like about the Himalayan yak chews is they last a long time. Paco chews on his all the time. That is the treat I put in his crate when we go out. His last two weeks! That makes them affordable and convenient in my mind.

All of the above, plus I like the Bison cartilage, cow ears, & tripe spirals ( but they don't last long).:D

I have never tried the Himalayan yak chews....hmmm since a couple have mentioned maybe I should take a look. Is their a prefered size or place to order from?

Yikes, what is wrong with rawhide please? This is obviously something I've missed in my endless hours of reading.

Edited to add: Ignore that question, I searched and followed all of JesusChick's links - rawhides have been binned.
