Your vet is closed on Monday? Has she not had issues with the stairs in the past? It does sound as though she may have had a fall, maybe bruised some ribs and that why she doesnt want to be picked up. If you are very concerned then maybe you need to call another vet? Just to make sure she hasnt broken a rib or had any internal injuries?

Keep us posted please.

Is there no emergency vet number. When my vet is closed you get put through to the emergency vet. Really she needs to be examined. Something must be hurting. Can you have a gentle feel all over and see if she has a particular sore spot?

If she doesn't want to go up or down the stairs, her knees might be bad. Search "patella luxation" and you will find a wealth of information. She definitely needs to be seen by a vet though.

Does your vet not leave a number for the emergency vet on their answer machine? Mine does so I can always speak to or see a vet at any time of day or night.

If thre is no number try phoning another vet and see if they leave a number.

My Jake has Luxation Patella and when it occurs he squeals (sometimes) and his leg goes straight and he limps for a little bit, then 5 min later he can be running around as normal.
Jake is booked in with a surgeon on the 19th March to have his leg checked and to see when they are going to operate
