I read Missy_r's thread about anybody's chi's doing agility and decided to have a look on You Tube :D There's LOADS!!!!!! Love this first one.....how sweet is she? Spitting image of the very first chi who made me fall in love with the breed too.....I AM SO BROODY NOW!!!!!!

There's a club about 4 miles from where I live who are pretty good and they do obedience, working trials and agility as well as the basic pet obedience so I might just take my chi there....even if only for socialisation etc :D

But.....on with the links.....

Anyone else on here teach their chi's tricks?

Awwww darling Penny - she's just SO adorable! :D

I used to do obedience with my mongrel Lady (labrador x whippet) in the early 80's (started when I was 13) and I just LOVE training dogs  Can't wait to get my chi and start teaching him/her a few tricks and stuff - dogs just LOVE to learn! I'm not really bothered about entering competitions or anything - just want to have a happy, healthy companion who can go everywhere with us and really promote the chihuahua breed  They're not yappy little handbag 'dogs' (as a lot of the gundog folk up here will have you believe - if it's not a labrador or spaniel it's not a real dog!) but a proper BIG dog in a lovely small package

These are awesome. Paco learns tricks so quickly that I want to do this with him when it warms up. I am planning a course in my head to put in the side yard. LOL thanks for sharing your videos.

Am I the only person who got a chi because I wanted an agility dog and my husband wouldn't let me get a BC?

Seriously we are counting down the days until we can start adult agility! Our puppy already did an agility foundations class and we work on handling moves regularly. I am glad I already trained one smaller dog because our instructors have had to sort of learn with us as far as differences with strategy when it comes to the tiny dogs. I just get a giddy with excitement when I see chis doing agility.

I'd love to get Lily into agility. Shes chi / terrier but acts more like a terrier (I think shes a border terrier). She is so fast and loves to jump and do tricks.

I would really like to train my dog on agility! But he's only 13 weeks old, so I hav to wait a little while. We are planning to go on puppy training these weeks. The dogs in the videos are really cute!

I had to go back and watch the first video a second time. It was so dang adorable! What a smart little girl. I love the ending where she's just like "I'm done, it's play time!" and starts running huge circles, lol. :)

I love teaching my girl! I'm looking into trying to build agility equipment, she already knows how to jump. She is very much a trick dog!
