I just noticed that the big pad on one of Peppy's paws is cracked, like how humans get cracked heels.
They dont seem to bother him as he let me touch them with no hassles, so should I just let them go or is there something I can put on them.

Its been very hot here latley so could that be the cause?

Oh poor thing. Even though it doesn't hurt him now, I think it could in the future if you don't take precautions. I don't have any experience with this so no ideas. Hopefully someone else will.

That can be a big problems Cass later.........there is paw wax (which I think is dumb it comes off) unless you can sox him during the night when he sleeps that might work. How about a oil supplement to help?

And whats a good oil supplement I should use?

So far it just seems to be the one paw so hopefully i can get the problem under control now.

Put the oinment on a put a sock on him so it will stay on or gauze it up

lots of oil supplements out there. get one with fish and flax oil

Thanks Victoria. Pay day is wednesday so Ill get some oil and stuff then. Now where can I get socks that will fit his feet? :?

You could get some baby socks and some of that stretchy gauze stuff the vets use (I know petsmart sells it) and wrap it around the upper part of the sock so he can't pull it off.

Yeah he does walk on concrete a fair bit. Thats why I think may be causing it, especially cause its been really hot here latley but yet he still insists on lying in the sun :shock:
Its a pretty big crack so im gonna do what Victoria suggest so it doesnt get worse.

If baby socks don't fit, try cutting a finger out of a pair of gloves.
