CREAT AND LITTERBOX TRAINING

/color]Hi....We are getting a male Chi in a couple of weeks. We would like to Crate train him and also litterbox train him. Should we put his litterbox inside his crate with him? He will be 10 weeks old when we get him. How long can he go at night? Should we be be putting the litter box inside his crate or take him out to the box for his potty breaks? Any help would be great. Thanks..

No I dont think it is a good idea to put litterbox in crate unless you plan to always leave it in there but I wouldnt advise it, at 10 weeks old he will be able to hold his bladder for roughly 2 hours at the most so that is how often you should let him out and put him in the litter box - good luck :wave:

Thanks for your advice.. Would you suggest that I start him out on the paper or pee pads first, then move him to the box, or just start him right out in the box?

start him in whatever you plan to use so he can get used to it :wave:

is that if he has to use to the bathroom? or how often they go?
