Cubby __ my chocolate mouse with my white mouse

We got this little mite awhile ago.. around july something.. not long after we had a catastrophy at our hose and lost a lot of electrical crap.. ins never paid.. blah blah blah... (anyway)... His name is Cubby.. he was under 2lbs when we got him and i think now he is about 6.5months and maybe a tad above 2 llbs(more cause of the increase in "bulk" and mass) I have not had him offically weighed in we are a bit behind in his vet visit...
heres some pics in chronology..well near it..
Hes about 7 week is the first few.. at the mothers home still

At home with us early but he only messed on the rug a couple of times very smart and needy of course hes now prefers only the pad and runs to it from across the room or bedroom (with coaxing).. not totally trustable but neither is Bean..always

too bright daddy...

this was his first or second day at home...with us

here he is several weeks old not sure exactly but it was around late august september..

Yes he is small and YES bean is HUGE for a chi!!

Can you believe that the white one was doing that snarling that is soo intense they have to snort in air to continue and force the air out with the growl... and spitting at the same time.. (KILL KILL KILL) sheesh if you dont get that sentence think about it and then try to do it, then get caught doing it and feel embarased...

Now after about 6 months he has really developed a good personality and very very loving..not just licky licky but hes a neck snuggler and he loves you to blow rasberrys on his side or just rub your face against his side (since he is so small he is not above eye level yet) he always rubs up against your face and puts his little ears back and makes little chi sounds and bends his head in submission and wants you to do it again... Our white 8llb 3oz Bean did NOT like this little insurrector and it took a couple of weeks on a control leash from time to time to ensure he would not harm the little tadpole. We broke most of the agression.. a leash lowers a dogs agression if used properly by a factor of 10 for our Bean anyway.. he practacally goes limp since he knows you have a lot more ways to stop him from lunging away than just holding a chi bare handed.. and i love those non pull harnesses.. he likes it cause it does not chaff him ... but it was our commitment to try to make an attempt to treat him like a dog.. bean has some bad habits like he wont "come" he would bolt like lightning if just let loose outside without a fence or leash.. trust me.. it only took twice for that to happen and i built a damn fence. He got out once cause my wife forgot to latch it...he never forgot that!! Cubby is way different cause of his size he like to do some of what Bean does, just the normal dog and chi behaviors, but he also does other things that are completely opposite.. Im hoping he goes up to 5lbs but i think it will be rough for him to hit 4llbs even....:coolwink:

The word mouse is just a term of endearment for both of my dogs.. i can say "mouse come too???" and bean will perk up and run to the door knowing that he is going on a car ride! And the new little guy is like a shinny silky piece of chocolate he is really soft and plush and it is funny to see the adult features develop.. different hair, it now just sheens, colors in the hair deepen or are augemnted by single hairs in sparse patches.

what is funnier is the lack of sound he makes it sounds like a dog whispering instead. Bean still will snap at him for apparently no reason.. something we have to watch so that the little guy dont loose an eye or something. He has a soft spot still and a lot of the dogs (cousins) he came from mostly dont have full closures. Bean is his cousin sort of.. i think have a father similarity in their background..or yah one of same from the little that spawned one of each parent of my pups or maybe same dad and different mothers. cant remeber...Bean outclasses ALL the other chi's at the breaders house and she is dumbfounded at his size. I said yep he could pry take on most of your dogs or at least out run them. HE is is EXTREMELY healthy and very very good disposition when it comes to people.. sometimes barks but i expect him to bark sometimes at strangers. Cubby is just a sweet heart and not really afraid of people but he has learned to stay out from under foot well enough so we just have to be semi cautious
