It could be a false pregnancy. My sisters dog went through this. She was never around any male dog during her heat and after, so there was no way she was pregnant. But her nipples got swollen and she looked pregnant, eventually the symptoms went away.

Sounds like a false pregnancy to me also. That is not a "dumb" quetion at all, but a very legitimate quetion?? 
I would be wondering the same thing. She came into her cycle early. My Chloe did not have her first heat until she was almost 14months old! Also, welcome!
