They don't have to but it's always a good idea as they are extremely sensitive to cold weather. We are thinking about getting a rain coat for Ember and maybe a jacket for next winter, but since it's nearly summer not right now, focused more on a raincoat.

I definately say it's a good idea to have a jacket and a raincoat but again you don't have to have him wear a jumper.

They get used to things really quick, when we bought Ember a dress she hated it, but after a while of wearing clothes she got used to it.

A coat isn't always necessary. Angel has some almost bare spots on his body, so he is always cold and wears a sweater most of the time. The other day was unusually warm, 80 degree Farenheit, so I took him out of the sweater. I never realized just how bare he really is!! Poor thing. Not much fur at all on the underside!!

My last chi was long hair and I put a sweater on him in winter because the snow would stick to his fur and it was difficult to clean off!
