We took Scarlett to the local Dog Swim. As you can tell she loved it! She was not sure what to do with deep water so she starts swim lessons next week.

Northern Virginia Animal Swim Center - Dog Swimming

I am debating putting Sonny in lessons too. He doesn't hate but doesn't love the water. Not sure how he would do. BG would kill me!

Oh wow a pool for dogs! That's amazing! She looks like she really enjoyed herself there. I wonder how mine would react. They do love water and have a lot of fun playing in the sea on beaches that allow dogs, but it has to be a very hot day.

What they do here is after the pool season for humans (Memorial Day to Labor Day) they keep the pool open for one week and have a dog swim for the pups. They then drain the pool and get it ready for winter.

The swimming lessons place is open year round, animals only, indoor facility. It is used mostly for orthopedic rehab etc but they do other stuff too.
