I got the small furmanator and do it very lightly and she cries and pulls away won't sit still I try to talk to her and kiss her head when I do it! What else can I do???? Any tips? I also say she's a very good girl and praise her lots when she sits still long enough!

Oh no!!!!!!! I didn't know that it said for toy breed so I thought...ohh jeez so it hurts her omg I feel so bad! I guess I will just use it on my kitties they love it! Omg thanks so much!!!!
There is no reason not to use the furminator on Chi's. I use mine daily on all 4 of mine & they love it and their coats are fantastic! I have 3 LCs & 1SC. I have the small green handled furminator for long coats & an original one from long ago.

I sit in a chair and have them lay in my lap on their sides & then flip. So easy. They fall asleep half the time. I also use a boar hair soft brush on occasion to and they don't enjoy this any more or less.

Did your pup dislike your other brush?
Make sure you are not brushing against the growth of the coat, go with it in long light strokes. :)

are you kidding?? Bijoux needs a furminator she sheds like a beast! She loves it too and you should see the hair that comes off of her, it's like another dog haha

Furmintors do not hurt dogs either..as long as your not an idiot and you know how to use a brush any dog can have a furminator.
I think it's the merle gene in her that makes her shed like an husky
