Hi all,
I adopted a 9.5 y.o. chi a week ago. The story is he was in a shelter for a few months and then a foster home for a week. I was told by the foster mom he likes dry food, sleeps all night and is potty trained as long as he's taken out regularly.

He didn't eat for over 24 hrs, so after reading his old records, I bought him wet food to mix with the dry. He is eating well now. And he seems to like his water too. He pees a LOT! Including in my bed at night!!!! He is also wearing a belly band during the day (wiggles out of it at night) and has multiple accidents. I do take him out a lot, including once at night, but by then it's usually too late. I do take water away after 6 or 7 p.m. (he eats dinner around 6).
My question is maybe he is getting too much water from the wet food + his bowl?

I am waiting to hear from the vet to make an appointment, but in the meantime, if you have any advice, please let me know. The peeing in bed needs to stop. :(
