Jukka had a scab on the very top of the back of her ear, i'm not sure exactly what from, but it came of and now she is missing hair where the scab was. Is this normal? Will her hair grow back? Is there something I can do?

I'm not sure about on the ear so i don't want to say for sure, but Willy scraped his head and there was a scab there and a hairless spot and the hair DID grow back. I imagine the ear would be the same though, so just give it some time :)

It could be dry skin. Try giving your chi 1,000 to 1,200 mg. fish body oil (not cod liver oil). Fish oil has Omega 3 fatty acids and will get rid of and prevent dry skin. Cut open 1 capsule and squeeze the fish oil directly into your chi's dog food once a day.

When we first adopted Lina from Kristin, Lina had large scabs on top of and inside near the top of both ears. I changed Lina's dog food to Wellness Core (high protein grainless dry dog), added natural food enzymes with vitamins, and 1,000 mg of fish oil into her dog food once a day. In a few weeks, the scabs fell out and Lina no longer has dry skin. Her fur grew in fuller all over her body and is very soft and glossy. After Lina returned home to her first family, Kristin has continued feeding her Wellness dog food (Wellness Small Breed since they don't sell Wellness Core where she lives) and the ear scabs never returned on Lina.

Did you get her vaccinated recently? One of my puppy buyers said pups ears had scabs on the tops of her ears. She found out at a specialist that her baby has a bad reaction to the rabies vaccine! But later she told me she decided to get all her vaccines done all at once. Her pups only 4 lbs, I think it was a vaccine over load for her poor system. I had her until she was a 1 year old and had no problems with any vaccines, but then again I do all my vaccines seperate.
