I don't know how many of you guys know my history regarding getting Toby and then giving him to my family so that I could keep my family's dog aggressive Chi, Max. Wellllll, my mom has decided that she absolutely doesn't want to part with him and she knows how much I really miss Toby. So, behind my back she found an animal behavioralist that is three hours away near my aunt's house. She is going to take him on Saturdays so that she can keep him. She said he is her "heart dog" and, even though she knows that I would take great care of him, she already misses him horribly even though he's still in the house- she can't imagine him not being here with her.
So, needless to say she has decided that she will be keeping Max. He has stopped attacking Lilly and he will be going to therapy. She is also going to continue his walking regimen and working on his weight- I think the walking is really helping with his aggression, too. My parents also feel that they would rather deal with a potential problem with him than make me do it while in law school. So they made this decision and then told me. They realize the effort that Max needs and, over the last few months, have come up for a concrete plan to take care of both him and Lilly.
So my four pound Chihuahua prince, Toby, is going to be coming with me to North Carolina in August.
As much as I love Max, I really was missing Toby. I was sacrificing to do what we thought was best, but I'm so relieved! He was my little guy!! So I'm excited to have him back!!! And of course, I will keep you updated on Max and Lilly in between my constant Toby posts.
