Lacey was not a dog who played when I got her. She would occasionally get a little playful and hand wrestle. But she never showed any interest in toys or any interest in running around and playing with me.
Osha was the same. No interest in play or toys.
So Faye comes in and for about a week she is annoying puppy that pesters them ect. But once they got that she was here to stay I noticed Laceys walls starting to come down. And then little by little I noticed her wrestling with Faye. Not very enthusiastic but I will take it. And Osha stopped acting like the puppy touching her was the worst thing in the world.
A couple weeks later and Faye and Lacey race around the house and wrestle like there is no tomarrow. They play, play, play. Faye also showed Lacey how much fun TOYS can be. And Lacey will now play with toys WITH ME and with Faye. It's really really cute!
And today we had another pretty big break through. When Lacey and Faye wrestle Osha gets excited but she usually steers clear. Today for a good 15 minutes she actually got her "bitey face" on and her tail was wagging a mile a minute as she wrestled/played with both Lacey and Faye. And once they were tuckered out they all collapsed in a Chi pile of love :love5:.
I honestly never expected Osha to play at all. She is so meek and is usually glued to my side looking around with wary eyes. It was beyond great to see her not only play but run zoomies! And she had the best grin on her face and her tail was literally a blur.
I seriously doubt I would ever see this side of her, or Lacey for that matter if I never brought Faye into the mix. I am beyond thrilled about how great my girls are doing
.
I have some videos to share but I will have to do that later.
