I crate train Raz.
At night I place a shirt with my scent on it, sweatshirt right now because it's cold, and his fave toy in the crate. Then I have him piddle and do his business on a potty pad. After wards as I get ready for bed I tell him, time for us to go to bed, and then place him in his Kennel. As I lock the kennel door I tell him he's a good boy....yes he cries but then he finds his toy and the crying stops.
We lock him up just the same as above when we leave the house every day. As for eating....he eats in the morning, when we eat dinner and 4 hours later. Never feed them just before bed other wise, in my experiance with my mom's puppies, they have an accident in their crate.
Good luck!
