Hi,

I know puppies usually go into adolescent age about 6 months and the first heat can happen anytime from 6-9 months. How does a female act when she is in heat? Are there any warning signs before she goes into her first heat?

Good question! I have never had a female dog, and now I have Sincy. I am wondering the same thing too.

I couldnt tell you as I had Lily spayed before her first heat as it reduces the risk of cancer in later life to almost 0 percent :wave:

Some days before the first drops of blood are seen the bitches vulva swells and u notice frequent urination....Another sign i see with my female is she becomes really friendly with everyone!(shes a shy dog on her reg days)
