Frasier is Mommyless for 3 Nights

1416 Views 21 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  Frasier's Mommy
Today is the day I go to Texas. I have to be away from him for 3 whole nights. It's the first time we've been apart. I hope it's going to be easier for Frasier than it is for me.

I've lectured my husband to death on how to get him to sleep, feeding, playing, etc...

Keep happy thoughts for us please.

P.S. to Rachael - your turn to pray. :)

aw, good luck with your trip and i'm sure frasier will miss you tons but just think of the greetig you will get when you come home!!!!!
It is very hard to be away from our little guys. I'm sure your husband will take very good care of Fraiser, I'm sure he knows how much trouble he would be in if he didn't hehehe
Frasier will miss his mommy but as luvmypuppet said you will get a wonderful greeting when you get home! :D
Good luck :D Sound like YOU are the one with separation anxiety
Have a good trip! I know that Fraiser will be fine and I agree w/ everyone else, think of those welcome home slobbery kisses! :D
I am sure he is really going to miss his mommy. We will keep the both of you in our thoughts. Have a fun safe trip. :)
Fraiser will be fine... Good luck on your trip.

When I had to leave Gadget for 3 days he was fine.. But boy oh boy was he happy to see his mommy.. I got lots of kisses for days... and he wouldn't leave my side for days either..
Yh those 3 days may drag because you will be missing him so much but just enjoy yourself and you will be home in no time!

I'm praying, I'm praying. I know it will be easier on him because it couldn't possibly be as rough as it'll be on Mommy. Your husband will probably spoil the hell out of him either out of fear (of you) or pity (for Frasier). Either way, Frasier wins. :)

Who will get the first hug and smooch when Mommy comes home... will it be hubby or Frasier? I think we all know the answer.
Fraiser will miss mom but i am sure he will do fine . Or else for your husband
I have only had to be away from baby for 1 day and night and I was a nutcase. I am sure your going to miss your guy alot but when mommy comes home he is going to have the best greeting for you that you being away from him will be the farthest from yours and his mind.
Awww, I wish you a safe trip and a happy return!!
Well, how'd it go (with Frasier, as well as choosing a school and finding a house)? I hope everything went smoothly so you can relax a bit about the move. :)
I already typed one of my long-winded replies and it didn't post, so this is a test reply.
I survived (barely). I almost went nuts. I hold him everyday while he sleeps, usually on my shoulder. That's what I missed the most.

He tore up his brother's bed, peed all over the carpet, and didn't eat very much while I was gone. But, we both survived. Today he's making up for not eating.

I got home late last night and since then he's been obsessed with playing ball or licking me. It's like he thinks if he stops, I'll go away again. :(

I'm thrilled to be back and my hubby is happy to be off Mommy duty.

I got the job I wanted. The house is not exactly what I wanted. I had to settle for a small house because I was running out of time and didn't want to have to make a second trip. However, it's a nice neighborhood with great places to walk Frasier and a nice fence in the backyard to keep him safe when he's off leash. We're just leasing it, so we can move to something better after a year.

Except for missing my baby, being back home was the absolute most refreshing wonderful experience. I told the hubby, once I'm back in the South that he'll never ever get me out of there again. There are many nice places all over the world, but that is the place where I belong.

Thanks everyone for all the kind thoughts and your concern. :)

Yay, mommy's home!

Sounds like a very successful trip. Even though it's not the house of your dreams, as you said, you can move in a year. And then you won't have to leave Frasier when you go house hunting again. I'm not sure any of you (Frasier, Henry, hubby or you) could handle it.
I'm happy for you Fraiser's mom... I wish you all the luck in getting moved and being home again...
Well congrats on your planning on relocating I am sure once you are all settled in you will not have to worry about ever leaving your baby again. I myself try and take them every where I go. Right now I have the children in florida this past month while daddy is home sleeping late because he doesnt have to get up at 7am to let them out lol. That will all change within two weeks back to normal
