so i got my reputable breeder picked. she doesnt ship which is great

all puppies cant go home till 8 weeks of age and 1 pound of weight. she's willin to meet me halfway as she lives about 4 hours away or so. love it! :albino: just today i asked for 1st pick of the litter when the ones in end of june or so are born as im planning on bringin the puppy home around end of aug/beginning of september. this will be me & dexter's birthday gift!...we're both august babies lol :lol: i am so happy~!:foxes_207: right now im goin crazy lookin around online for "essentials" LOL. i already have millions of toys from Dexter's pile, treats i already know what i'm going to try feedin her...little itty bitty soft things first! hehe! also for food im hopin to god she will stick with the chicken soup for dogs as the breeder feeds all her pups and moms and dads :sunny: not like my picky Dexter who only eats homemade meals =.=

waitin for June to come! she takes pics of all the puppies 10 mins after they're born....aw those tiny chis! :love7:

I found out with all my googling and searching that Costco's brand of puppy food is just Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lover's soul. Same company, same everything. $13.39 for 20 lbs beats $15.99 for 6 lbs. My little one loves it! I'm still mixing it half and half with the Science Diet she came with but she eats the Costco stuff first.

lol ill have to research that...but i dont shop at costco. my parents do but not me. i prefer to have non generic brand name foods in my life lol! i tried doin a generic brand handwash once and ended up with itchy hands

Pidge that's great you want to get another but they shouldn't leave their mums and siblings until 12 weeks of age, it's essential for socialisation and a lot are still having a drink off their mums at this age. We have to followthe BCC rules here which state 12 weeks!! I would have a little re think if I was you, especially if the puppy is travelling for a long period of time.

i have friends thats gotten their pups as young as 9 weeks and they are prefectly healthy. i've researched a whole bunch as my bf's kitten that was found on the street motherless is healthy too. thank you though! im pretty sure it'll be a bit more than 8 weeks but i'll keep you guys posted! she is an awesome breeder and have found homes for many many of her pups without complaints :duckie:

How did you find your breeder ? ( If you don't mind me asking ) I am currently looking for a good local breeder in my area ( Central Florida ), that's why I'm asking.

i found her through frie ds on fb and here. traci from here is a great breeder. shes from florida. do u have fb?

Congratulations!! That is so exciting!

I have been trying to talk my boyfriend into another Chi after we get Jaxx neutered and recovered. He is dragging his heals though and thinks that Jaxx is enough for now. I would love to get a little girl though so that Jaxx has a little sister.

thankie! u should totally get a sis for jaxx! u know what did it for my mom? this was a year or so agp. i put up a webcam for when i wasnt home wnd it took vid clips of each time there was motion in my room. it captured dexter howlin on my pc chair that im always on. ill have to show u it!

thanks chachis mom! no dont know what the mom looks like yet. shes not in heat. this breeder has a couple of girls she uses so i wont know until she lets me know which one itll be for around that time. im goin for a shorthair this time tho. gonna try my best to not fall in love with a longhair lol...theyre sooooo cute when theyre pups. i really want a wow! kinda color...im hopin! it doesnt really matter to me tho as long as she has a great personality and gets along with dex
