Hi there,
I had my 10 year old chi's teeth cleaned in November. Her bloodwork and pre cleaning check up was perfect but they found that two molars needed to be pulled and referred us to a dentist.
Upon visiting the dentist he detected a level one heart murmur. We are having a chest xray done next week to see what is going on with her heart.
My vet's goal is for all her chi's to see their teen years, and this recent development has me scared. Are heart murmur's common? Will it impact her life expectancy or quality of life? Am I over reacting? Any advice is appreciated!
