Hi All!
I am thinking about breeding pedigree Chihuahuas for real soon and have just got my KC Chihuahua girl and wanted to share with someone about my new family member as well as my new venture in Chihuahua breeding.
I have always bred something as a hobby even as a child. My first ever breeding were Sea Monkeys, and over a period of 7 years it was followed by Guppies, Dwarf Hamsters, Gerbils, Ferrets, Mice, Cats, which all lead up to my first dog breeding in 2009 with an unpapered red Chihuahua called Foo Foo.
Nothing has fascinated me more than breeding dogs because of the diverse genetics involved, as well as the wealth of information out there relating to dog psychology, nutrition, different ways of upbringing etc And no pet has brought me as much joy as the Chihuahua.
So far I have only bred non papered Chihuahuas and cross Chihuahua breeds and by doing so I have learnt a lot from first hand experience that nobody could ever teach you.
I have joined this forum because I feel that I may have something to learn since research is always ongoing for me, and also perhaps there would be something I could share and give back rather than just keep taking.
I look forward to speaking to all of you in this very pleasant forum!
