Hi! My name is Kimberly and my puppy is named d'Artagnan but we've started just calling him Dart because its easier. We just picked him up yesterday and I'm completely in love! He has wanted to be by my side since we brought him home, which I love.
He is 14 1/2 weeks old. His color is blue fawn but I'm not too sure what that means and he has odd eyes. They are an aqua color with dark blue rims and dark blue in the center.
He has the sweetest personality, at least now he does. He likes to play with lots of energy then he likes to cuddle up. He is not shy at all.
Well, it looks like I can get a lot of information and advice on this forum and I'm looking forward to some help down the road, I think we'll start with potty training. ;)
Thanks,
Kimberly & Dart

Is that him in your avatar? If so he is absolutely gorgeous!

His eyes are a light colour because of his blue coat colour. Blue colouring comes from a dilution of the gene that gives a black coat and the dilution also affects the eye colour and gives them a brown not black nose - it's nothing to worry about. I have 2 Chi's with lighter eyes, a chocolate girl (chocolate is also a dilution of the black coat) with dark green eyes and a tan boy with light green eyes (tan is not usually a dilute colour but his sire is chocolate so he has shown the lighter colouring).

His personality sounds like a typical Chi and probably won't change a bit :) They are real snugglers and love their people but they also have their hyper moments.

Please ask any more questions you need to, we are all happy to help :)

Thank you all, and yes that's him in my avatar. I don't know if it's new luck, I've had a puppy before but house breaking him is going great! I'm terrified f jinxing myself but he finds me and makes a whining sound that he normally doesnt make and I say" do you have to go potty an he runs to the door and does his stuff.
After picking him up, which my husband arranged I'm afraid he may have been from a puppy mill or large back yard breeder. He craves love, not just attention. He had no idea what to do with a toy or treat and when he eats, he constantly looks back like he's expecting someone to tske his food and he won't eat if I'm not around. I took him for a check up today and he is healthy. He's starting to get more brave but he is hesitant.
If he stays still enough, I would love more pictures of him, the owner said he wasnt breed able so they were selling him but he looks darling to me!

Welcome! Just be sure to socialize him well, especially because you think he may be from a puppy mill. If you don't you may end up with a fearful, or possibly aggressive, dog. Glad to have you here!!!
