HELP!!! litter box flies!!

I need some advice. I have been litter box training Pixie and she is really getting the hang of it. The problem is I dispose of her potty pads but all of a sudden there are these fruit flies everywhere. Now I feel itchy all the time and am totally grossed out. Any advice?? I think I may outdoor train her starting tomorrow eventhough she will be totally confused probably. Please let me know if you have this problem and if you do litter box train and don't have flies what are you doing differently??? Thank you.

I have never heard of anything like that. I trained mine to go outside I live in NY. but Daytona an Lady were paper trained before i had gotten them so, I leave paper down just in case. Sturgis was never paper trained if he gets a cookie he runs to the paper to eat it! I have to keep telling him No thats for pee pees and remove his cookie

i have potty pads all over the house and never had this problem :?
