as many of you know we rescued a shih tzu at the end of august. she was not housetrained and lacked any training. she is such a little spitfire. lots of energy and a great personality... sounds perfect right...wrong!

she started out playing with our little zoey (our beloved chi) and it was all fun and games but it is turning into a war zone. molly will not stop...even after warnings from zoey that she has had enough. i think zoey likes to play she is only 16 months old but molly just plays entirely to rough.

i have been keeping the two girls seperated for a while now due to this and zoey becoming too anxious when molly will not leave her alone. well, yesterday i let molly in and didn't realize zoey had come downstairs with me too. molly immediately started harrassing zoey and zoey gave her a warning bark. well, that must not have set well with molly as she just laid into poor little zoey. i got zoey away from her before she was hurt but thank goodness.

my question is ... will molly continue with this behavior and thus never allowing both dogs free roam of the house or will she evidentually settle down.

this is steadily becoming worse instead of showing any signs of improvement.

i am open to all suggestions
thank you in advance

I think you might get more advice from the chihuahua chat/help threads. It would be OK in there because it does concern your chi! I don't know if everyone reads these threads.

As for me, it would really worry me, but it would also be hard to give up too soon. I guess you are going to have to be the alpha and watch them, then give a strong NO the minute stuff starts happening. I had the same problem with two big dogs once and did have to find a new home. I was so sad, but you can't risk anyone's life/health!

Good luck!
