Was he sucking air in?
If so, it was probably an inverted sneeze. Very common in chis.
When he does it again, try to get him to swallow. I dip my finger in water and put it on their mouth (not the nose).
Just keep an eye on him, if he seems like he's doing it alot, you might want to take him in for a checkup.
