Here's another question...

Ok, here is the problem. Hershey has been peeing all over the place. She is potty trained to go out side. She is not squating and peeing on her own. When she gets excited to see me she runs up to me and starts to pee where ever she is standing. She will even roll over in her bed so I can pet her tummy and starts to pee. I can't even get her out the door in the morning to pee. I take her out frequently during the day to potty out side but she keeps doing it inside at those times. She use to only do it with my boyfriend when he would call her, but now she does it with me. This has become a problem because she is with me all the time. I am tired of cleaning and running out of clean carpet. I keep having to wash her bed. Also running out of detergent.
If you have any suggestions please help. She was never like this. She had been real good with going potty out side.

It sounds like what they call "submissive peeing". Some dogs go through this and some don't. Most that do ourgrow it eventually. There's a good thread on it somewhere in here.
Yes, it sounds like submissive urination. Do a search on the forum or on the internet.

There is information out there on how to handle this which will explain far better than I can. I have never had this problem, but one of my daughter's mini doxies did, and they used some of the suggestions they found on the internet. It helped a great deal.
paris does that too sometimes, when we have guests :?

lol sorry that made me laugh a little (when we have guests)lol
id just search the internet!
Lola does this too and it is submissive urination. Just don't ever tell them off for it and you can try helping it by not greeting them exitably and keeping things low key etc. Apart from that you just have to ignore it and it should pass in time.

Btw.... I have read that pups who are 'submissive urinators' are actually much more sensitive and eager to please dogs!! So that's the good news! :D :D

I read that too on the internet. Kinda made me sad :( . I love greeting her in a large way:blob8: . It's gona be hard for me to stop. You are right sensitive and eager to please is a good thin. Must by why she is so good with my son
...

hey...ye ma chi does that too and she is also trained, but she's stopping, she doesn't do it that frequently, will this be off someday..

manchis....8P
my moka does that ALL the time!!!!
no matter who it is ,if you walk out ,come back in he still does it like you've been gone for years.

Because i know that he gets soo happy to see people. my rule is NOT to touch him when you first get in.wait a few minutes, sit down and let him come to you then he's oh k.
Also DON'T bend down to touch her. which just her/him go more.
I hope this works for you b/c if works for me. i'm Not say'n it stops it but it does make it better and happen less.
yah really funny  when i have someone over ....they take paris and she pees on them from excitement :?

kisses nat
