What an amazing forum! It is great to have joined this community! We have 10 month old black Chihuahua called Meeru who is truly a source of joy and hapiness to us. He loves to do all sorts of tricks (in exchange for a toy or a tasty treat of course...:), run around on the beach, do agility in the garden and play with other dogs (including really big ones...). We look forward visiting this forum more often. We have included two youtube links of Meeru doing tricks and some basic agility. We hope you enjoy!

He knows so much! My girls are just not that skilled!!
He is so smart. Does he know commands in Dutch and English?? How many languages does he speak???
He is a beautiful boy!!
Your girls are so pretty! Meeru is in love! He knows his commands in Dutch although some of the commands are in English such as "high five", "close" and "weave". But we assume that he primarily speaks the language of "tasty treats". :)

Wow he is so smart, how long did it take you to teach him those tricks. Love the ones where he needed to find the toy.
Thank you for the welcome. It is really nice to read the reactions of you all. On avarage it takes him 10 - 30 minutes to learn a new trick. It depends also on what the trick is: some tricks come really easy others require a little more patience. Key thing is that we all have fun while doing it. We normally practice some tricks in the weekends but only for a short period. Fun and positive reinforcement are the key ingredients. Some "tricks" he did at a very early age without any practicing (e.g. fetch, follow, parading). I have added the first youtube movie when he was still a chubby little puppy. :). It is a bit long...so apologies for that. It is so nice to share this with you all.

Hi and welcome to the forum! :)
Meeru is so cute and love his name!
Thank you for the welcome! We named him after the island Meeru in the Maldives where we spend our honeymoon and decided to get a little dog. His name actually means "sweet" in Divehi (language of the Maldives). He can indeed be a very sweet boy but sometimes he can also turn into a little devil! :)
