Hi there! I'm the owner of a 16 month old rescue Chihuahua (maybe a mix?) that I got during the summer. She is a black and tan 6lb girl. I actually was not looking for a dog at the time, but it just kind of happened. she's my first dog- a very sweet girl, but I'm having to learn as I go! She's sweet to everyone she meets, but a little timid, especially with other dogs.
Looking forward to meeting you all!

Unfortunately I don't have pictures right now, but I'll try to get some up tomorrow!

Welcome! I have a rescue chi mix, too. When
we first got her she was quite shy but with a lot of
socialising and love she's really like a
different dog. It just takes a little time. She's a
pretty little one!

Oh, that's awesome! I need to socialize Stella more. She's definitely getting a little bolder as we go. How long did it take for your girl to come out of her shell?

Yea! They worked! Good job! What a cutie! :)
Thanks so much!

It took about 4 months before she was really
comfortable meeting new people. So it
does take a while. But you do notice
small improvements after a short time, (e.g., just
less and less anxiety, generally more
relaxed.) So it will happen, sounds like she
has all the love she needs to eventually
blossom.
