Awww she's really cute and small!! I bet she'll end up between 3.5 and 4 pounds which is a super good size.

It's hard to tell from that pic, but she appears tiny to me. I would say about 3.5 lbs., maybe 4 lbs.

I'm thinking the way that pic was taken makes her look bigger than she is, though. Take one of her standing up so we can see all of her. : )

By the way, she is a DOLL!!! : )

You just never know. My Manolito weighed 2 lbs. when I got him at 10 weeks old and he's over 2 years old now and still weighs 2 lbs.

I have never heard such a thing? Wondering how that is even possible? The only think I can think of is the pup was real chunky and just slimmed up as it grew in height and remained the same weight if that is even possible?

The vet isn't sure, either. He thinks he's just an unhealthy dog. Initially, the vet thought he probably had a liver shunt, but I took him to the university in St. Paul for tests and that doesn't appear to be his problem. His littermates are considerably bigger than he is.

My vet initially thought Manolito had a liver shunt, but I took him to see a specialist in the Twin Cities and the tests came back showing there was no shunt. So now my vet thinks he's just a poorly thriving dog. His littermates are all much larger than he is.

If this is true, I would be investigating why your puppy never grew. That's not normal. In fact, it's so abnormal that I would get the testing going for a liver shunt or other anomaly. That's like someone having a 7 pound human baby and then a year later, it's still 7 pounds. It just doesn't happen, and if it DOES - there's something very seriously medically wrong.
