How do you know when your chi has reached sexual maturity...Stinky, has been humping a lot lately, I don't think is bad but if he is 4 months (another 2 weeks and he's 5) isn't that too early?? I wondering if there is actually an approx. time for it to happen....
I don't know when they reach sexual maturity but as fas as humping goes Mr. Peepers was doing that as young as 2 1/2 months old. He has completely stopped doing that since his neutering.
Thanks, I was really wondering since I have this suspicion that the breeder was not telling me the truth about his age...with the humping...that won't stop anytime soon my boyfriend is not allowing Stinky to get neutered...a guy thing I think I know, I know, it would be better but what can I do...aaaah...guys...
My friend Patrick freaked out the other day because I told him our cat was getting snipped on monday. The cat has been sucking up to me lately (usually hates me) I think he thinks I can save him!
My son (who is 23 and lives in his own townhouse) got an AmStaff Terrier in the spring. His name is Angus and I call him my grandpuppy. He is 8 months old and weighs about 80 pounds...ANYWAY I researched the humping stuff, AND they also do it to show that they are the Alpha dog. It's not always a sexual thing, its to show their authority. I have two sons, and my husband. Angus will try and hump me, but NEVER them!
I had a male Yorkie who was very small. He was the biggest coward, he never humped anything! I think it would be great if a lot of people knew this since they think their male dogs are pervs!!!! :laughing9: Poor things are just being leaders :king:
Well I had read that they reach between 9 months to one year old. I was trying to find out information because I just bought Guapo (male) 2 weeks ago and I was wondering the same thing. So that is what I found out
