Since I got my girl I had to move alot of stuff around. She has access to nothing anymore basically. My daughter keeps her room closed and nothing around the house anymore. How did they get a broom in there??..lol!

Have you managed to see how do they get to all the things? Do they climb up on things? How are they getting it? Batteries can be dangerous so I guess you are going to have to put stuff like that up high where they cant reach it. Basically babyproof.

You probably have to catch them in the act and give them their toys instead. It is kind of cute that they are little monkies but frustrating I bet!

i try so hard to put things up but with 2 kids its made it impossible task. I try to catch them in the act of bringing it to there cage. Its a never ending battle. Truly frustrating. because its not one type of thing its anything that falls to the floor they like. I have considered taking away there cage but thats there safe spot away from busy feet. I cant find anything about it online. mostly animals hoarding not animals that hoard. lol and the broom stick was sticking out of the back of the cage the bristles was on the inside. was hilarious but sad at them same time.

That is Babushka, she grabs anything that hits the floor and table surfs. She doesn't take it to the crates, she just lays in a dog bed so it's easier to catch her as soon as she does it. But I have taught her to bring me the stuff back or drop it. It's not perfect, somethings she wants me to chase her for, but she's only 10 months, so it's a work in progress. I do sometimes catch her before she grabs something and reprimand her so she's starting to understand that not everything is hers.

My "solution" is house limitations. Crazy Annie hoards and DESTROYS. So all my Chis have access to only two rooms--plenty enough room for them and me--and I don't leave certain things out (napkins, tissues, anything with a tag, placemates). That's been my only solution because Annie is queen of stealth "search and destroy." So I sympathize with your plight.

Umm, I'm confused .... I would question how does all that stuff end up being on the floor and stay there long enough for a dog to steal it without being caught in the act?

The only time I would think anything "stealable" would be on any floor with dogs in a home would be bits of food that fall from the preparation area, baby stuff if there's a baby or toddler in the house, OR the dog's own toys.
