how many litters

i was just wondering how many litters is ok for a chi (or any dog for that matter) to have.....

Well if you are going to breed, never let them have more than 1 litter a year! And never breed past the age of 5 yrs old. :D
so like 5 litters?? isn't that excessive? i was thinking like 3-4 tops. (by the way i'm not thinking of breeding i was just curious :D ) i asked cause when my tasha bird had her spay as soon as she was opened up i asked if the vet could tell if she was bred and he said oh yeah, a lot. and i was just wondering what was average.
luvmypuppet- that would end up being about 4 litters because you also want to wait until the female's second heat to breed her so for a lot of dogs they would be almost two by that time. :D
