I think my chi has eaten too much jerky as last night she had an upset stomach (she's pretty sensitive, it doesn't take much to upset her). I've bought some canned pumpkin which I'm going to put in her dinner later. She weighs 3lb (1.5kg) so how much should I give? Also can I put some on her lickmat or does it have to be given in food? Thanks

I'm not sure, there are differing opinions on the web and usually for larger dogs. Maybe try 1/4 teaspoon and then bump it up to half a teaspoon. It doesn't have to be mixed in with the food, you can give it to her straight if she will eat it.

Thanks, I went for half a teaspoon in her food. I think I may have give too much though because I put it in both her breakfast and evening meal twice and last night I was up through the night with her again. Perhaps it should have been one dose in total not one dose several times!

Instead of giving pumpkin, feed her cooked chicken with rice for a few days. If she is not better within that time, a visit to the vet may be best.
