hello i was just wondering is 1.3 lbs really small for a chihuahua of 7 weeks? should leave him with his mom until 12 weeks old? p

that sounds like a good weight,, It is always best ot leae them as long as you can with the mom. but if you can't then he/she should be ok if you make sure he eats and drinks good...

Gadget was around that weight when he was that age... he is now just over 3 pounds at 5 months 3 weeks..

the weight is fine !! paris and vienna were that weight at 12 weeks. if you can it's best to leave them with their mommy as long as possible :wink:

yeah chiwi was a little thing barely 1.6 at 10 weeks when i got her. it's best if they stay with the mom and littermates as long as possible so if there is no reason to bring them home at such a young age then leave her with mama.

Thank you.. it shouldnt be a problem to leave him eith his mommy for a bit longer ...i cant wait to post a pic of him he is so cute..he still has light blue eyes. i wonder will they stay the same ?

yeah thats a normal weight - great news that he can stay withj mommy till 10 or 12 weeks :wave:
