I work 12 hour night shifts from 7pm-7am. I leave the apartment at about 6pm and get back about 8am. My boyfriend works a normal 8am - 5 pm or 6pm job. So, Chloe is never left by herself for more than a few hours if we leave together to go do something. For the last month or so we've been leaving her out in the apartment with all the doors closed when we leave. So, she has access to the living room, kitchen, hall, and dining room. She has done absolutely wonderful with the extra freedom. My boyfriend went out of town this weekend to visit his family, but I didn't go because I had to work Friday night and Sunday night. We don't feel very comfortable taking Chloe to his family if we don't stay in a hotel because there's so many people in and out of his grandmother's house that we are afraid someone will let her out thinking it's ok.

Well, the point of all of this is that we went back and forth, but we decided to let her have access to the apartment instead of being blocked off in the kitchen while I was at work. She did so good! She didn't have any accidents or anything. She was perfect! I'm so proud of her because I really feel like I can say she is totally potty trained. And from what I hear that's a big accomplishment for a 5 month old chihuahua! I think she's only had 1 accident in the last month and it was because she was having some issues with her stomach, so I don't think she meant to and it shouldn't totally count. haha

Yay Chloe! I can remember when we first started letting Miya have free run. We built her up longer and longer each time. I was on pins and needles when we left her for six hours while I was at work! She did great tho!

Wow, that is awesome! Way to go, Chloe! That sure is quite an accomplishment for a 5-month-old Chihuahua. I can't wait until I can say the same about Gemma. I never worry about her peeing off her pad, it's just pooping that sometimes she wants to do in a random location. We still gate her off in our bedroom when we go out any time.

That's awesome! Especially for such a young lady! Trixie's 9 mos and has only been here since Tuesday...she's had two poop accidents and one tinkle accident, and all three of them were my fault...I was still trying to figure out her timing/schedule. Chloe is SUCH a great Chi baby!
