ok not that i would mind if he was ...but i feel like a fool here sometimes saying cosmo is a chihuahua !
no belgian has ever heard about deerheads or appleheads and think i'm crazy for thinking he's a chi..........
so if the majority thinks he's a mix , then in the future he will be cosmo my mixed chi

i never thought so.. if he was a mix.. i think it would a terrier.. like a jack russel.. or a rat terrier.. but i always thought he looked like a chi.. a unique chi.. and in my opinion one of the most beautiful chi's (all of the ones on this site are beautiful..so he is one of the beautiful )

I think cosmo does look like a mix - he has the perfect chi nose from the side but then face onwards he doesnt look like a chi?

He is still a cute tiny tots tho!


I honestly dont know what he could have been breed with but it must have been a real cutie :wink:

I would say he is full chi just with a longer snout as snouts are usually alot shorter - when I look at him I have never thought hes a mix , but I agree with earlier if he is a mix probably with a terrier - what did the breeders say - or did you rescue ? :wave:

I don't think so...I think he is a pure deerhead chi, but then again, deerheads vary in their looks...

I think he is a pure chi Nat but maybe his parents weren't the chi 'standard'? How old is he now? Because 7 pounds isn't big. My Buster is a little over 7 and he is small and definitely a pure chi. :wink:

i bought him from a breeder who said he was a chihuahua , but i don't have papers ,only a passport so they can write what they want on there .....

Lovelychipupz; a vet can never rule out for sure if some dogs are mixes or not ....and again in belgium people don't know appleheads or deerheads ,they just think im' waffling out of my mouth

he's now 9 months old so i don't suppose he's getting bigger ...i also saw a few chi's on here that looked almost similar ( diesel and another one ,don't know the name, and also one at meetup pics) so that got me to think yes he is chi !! but i wanted to rule out for sure .........

Maybe he just has a big nose so he can sniff out all the yummy treats before his sisters :lol:!

I thought the vet would have been able to tell you as they can always tell with our 3 dogs - i guess no-one can tell you for sure 100% it's just judgements based on the way they look really!

He's tiny, and everyone thinks he looks like a chi and so do you - and even if he werent really he's still wee cosmo
