Is Piper trying to pull rank?

Well I would not saying pulling rank cause they are female and male, and they see their selfs as the alpha pair, but I do think she is showing him she is not a baby anymore and is coming into her adult hood.

with everything I have read and seen I would call that pretty dominant behavior...even though its a male/female pair they still try to act dominant...my mom's female dog is the dominant one of the four and there are two males...they will try to assert dominance but they always loose...lol!
I agree I think Piper is just showing Gizmo she is ready to stand on her own. Just as long as there isnt agression shown u are fine

mine are doing this too :shock: mostly its cosmo doing it.....but i saw paris doing an attempt too ( she's too small :wink: ) i first thought he already wanted to ride her :shock: but then realised they're pulling ranks..they'tre still fighting too.......and sleeping together...... :?

Cody does that to Callie all the time. I thought it was just because he is so much taller than her. Up until just recently he could stand on top of her with her standing under him comfortably. :lol: Now when he does that she will get under his back legs, lifting them off the floor and spin him around like she is a little wrestler.

I believe she is posturing to your male chi- she is making herself more accessible to him. I don't think they quite have the whole "adulthood" thing worked out just yet, but this type of behavior is linked towards that goal eventually. good luck.

oliver does this mimi all of the time, especially when she's trying to get him to play and he doesn't want to. it's like he's telling her that he's top dog and get's to decide when it's playtime!
