Thanks Traci,
Still no word on cause of his illness. He seems to be doing a bit better this week. The appointment with Pediatric Specialist is not until mid month. So we wait. Thanks for asking about him. I think due to all the meds he is able to function right now. It's just a temporary fix. Hopefully the right diagnosis will come soon.

Awww the poor dear, hope he responds better to the meds real soon and they get to the bottom of what's going on quickly. It's amazing how kids take everything in their stride, it's us parents and grandparents that don't cope so well! Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family
Milly sends him another big set of her very best lickity hugs all the way from England!! Meoqui is very good at tiny licks on ends of noses, so she sends her very best teeny puppy lick too!

I just got word that Noah will be traveling to Seattle Childrens Hospital in the next couple of days. He has declined in health again and this evening is going to the local hospital for a rupture. Could be appendix. Hopefully they will send him down there right away. I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I just wanted to write this quickly before I go. Love to you all.

Kay and Cathryn,
Noah won't be going to Childrens until next week. He is having surgery on thursday the 30th. to repair a rupture in his tummy. The surgeon wants to do an exploratory on him while he is sedated to see if he can find why he is so sick. He was not satisfied looking at the recent CT scan. Once he gets a few days recovery he will go to Seattle if there is still no diagnosis.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

He will def be in my thoughts and prayers. Have they ruled out chron's disease? Please keep us updated. Kay
Kay,
That's exactly what I have been trying to get them to test for. Crohns
was the first thing I thought of when a pattern of symptoms started with him.
One Dr. said "no", looking at his CT but, the surgeon is going to
try to evaluate that when he does exploratory on Thursday. He read
the CT scan yesterday and was concerned. First thing he said was
could be early in Crohns Disease, need to R/O.
Finally someone who is paying attention to detail.

I know how bad Crohns is and I hope it can be ruled out.
Thanks for asking. You must know someone who has it also.
Thank you for keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.

Yes Ginger, I have chron's disease. By reading what little I did that is the first thing that came to my mind. Chron's is very very hard to see on a CT scan a small bowel follow through would be a better option. It would show any strictures or thicking of the bowel. A biopsy is the only true way to dx chron's. They found my chron's disease through exploratory surgery as well. Then followed through with a colonoscopy when they saw where it was. I sure hope he does not have chron's, if he does at least it will be an answer and he can start treatment. (((((HUGS)))))
You can PM me at any time. I am a nurse as well.
