Ok, so im 29 this year I realise im probably the most unhealthiest person still alive and I know I need to sort it out! :(

Ive never really eaten fruit/veg from being a toddler ive refused it.
Even when im full of good intention and really want to eat healthy now it just makes me GAG, I end up chewing for ages and cant swollow it! Yueeek!

Im now begining to think I need to be hypnotised? Does anyone think that could work????

I have an obsessional personality, obsessivly clean etc and it reflects in my eating habbits too - I have to have obsession foods, I end up eating the 'same' food day in day out for months, sometimes years!
(I was having Dominos pizzas EVERY NIGHT for over a year at one point! Or a time when I was having 20 Twix bars in one sitting.)

And this is what you'll find bizarre - im not overweight! Im 9 and a half stone and 5ft 5. I was 8 and a half stone 2 years ago (id like to loose this extra stone)
Im really strugglnig to commit, I need to turn my 'obsessive' eating to 'healthy' foods then im onto a winner..if it never happens I fear im going to be really ill when im older from lack of nutrients.

Anyone out there got any advice?

Have you talked to a doctor or a nutritionist? That sounds like a type of OCD to me and can be controlled with behavior mod therapy and/or medication. I don't think it's a matter of just trying different veggies/fruits. Sounds like you have an aversion that should be dealt with by a professional. :)

Yeah ive actually had councelling but my case of OCD wasnt really that impactive so there was nothing more to it.
(Dr's arent the greatest around here, they just kept telling me to try mix it in with other foods.)

I really want to eat healthy but from never having a taste for it makes it much harder.
I wish my parents would have forced me more when I was a child as I see young kids eating/enjoying veg ive never even eaten-if they can like it why didnt I :)

Well if you've tried therapy, then hmmmmmmmm..... have you tried a juicer? You take veggies and/or fruits and put it through the juicer and then you just have to drink the juice and you can throw the pulp away (or use it some other way). I know people who hate carrots but LOVE juicing them. That might be a way to get some nutrients. Otherwise - take some vitamins. ;)

Do you have something like the V8 Fusion over there? You have a whole portion of veggies and one of fruit, but it's sweet and flavered like fruit juice. Because it's a liquid, there's no chewing and should be easier to get down. I had a foster sister the same as you, she was with us for 2 1/2 years, and she learned to eat and like fruits and veggies by the time she left. Mom just let her take it slow, just a lick of the fruit or veggie, then a bite. Also covering the veggies in cheese helps, too. I am so greatful all my kids love salad and most veggies. (their not too keen on brussel sprouts, but LOVE spinach)

There is a book, Deceptively Delicious, I believe it's by Jessica Seinfield (Jerry Seinfield's wife). She gives clever ways to sneak veggies into every day meals and you never know it's there.
I'm a vegi hater too, I have to hide them in my meals to get the nutrition I need.

You could try smoothies, too. Please keep trying to find someone to help you, even a support group online..."not impactive" my left foot; I can tell it upsets you so it certainly is impactive! Good luck!

Maybe you could try making fruit breakfast smoothies, and adding a little veggies in. I bet the fruit would cover the taste.
